My name is Charlie MacPherson and I'm the owner of Postal Center USA in Randolph, Mass. 

This is my statement of our ethical practices in business.  It's something I take very seriously.

  1. I and my employees will treat every customer the way we would want to be treated.  While we recognize differences in culture and personalities, there is no room for rudeness in my business.  Respect and courtesy are the order of the day.  Every day.

  2. Honesty is paramount.  We will not lie to a customer or to each other in my business.  Ever.  We will admit mistakes when we make them and within reason, will do everything in our power to make it right.

  3. I will ship your package exactly as I would ship it if it were mine.  That means that we will do the extra work to find the most cost effective way to ship your package, even to the extent of cutting boxes down to a smaller size in order to save you money.

    I will turn away shipments that I believe are too fragile to survive the small-parcel environment, even though I'll lose that sale.

    I will turn away shipments that are hazardous, illegal, prohibited, dangerous or restricted.  I will do so in order to respect the law, and to protect the public and employees of our package transportation companies, again, even though I'll lose that sale.

  4. I will be a responsible corporate citizen. That means that I will not cheat on my taxes, hide income or pay employees "under the table".

  5. I will be a responsible business partner. That means that I will pay my bills on time.  I will treat every vendor with respect and courtesy.

  6. I will listen to every customer complaint. If a customer has a problem, I am happy to have the opportunity to help, especially if it's due to our mistake. 

    While every company makes mistakes, how that mistake is rectified reveals the character of the company and its personnel.  When I or my employees make a mistake, I will do everything within reason to make it right.
